Belagavi: Six Dead, Four Injured in Tragic Car Accident
Belagavi, Karnataka: A horrific car accident near Nandagad in Belagavi district claimed the lives of six passengers on Thursday. The victims, including five members of the same family, were returning home from a wedding ceremony in Golihalli, Khanapur taluk, when their car collided with a tree.
The hatchback car, reportedly carrying 10 passengers, was traveling back to Dharwad when the tragedy struck. Six individuals, including the driver, were pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining four passengers sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The deceased have been identified as the driver, Sharukh Pendari (30), Saniya Langoti (37), Shabnam Langoti (37), Farhan Langoti (13), Iqbal Jamadar (50), and Umarabegum Langoti (17).
The injured passengers are Farhat Betageri (18), Saniya Jamadar (36), Mahim Langoti (7), and Sofia Langoti (22). They are currently receiving medical attention at the hospital.
Superintendent of Police Dr. Bhimashankar Guled visited the accident site, and authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
